Switching to BabyCroc
Your history can come with you. Export a spreadsheet from the app you use now, then open BabyCroc → Settings → Import data. BabyCroc reads the file on your phone, shows what it recognized, and saves nothing until you confirm. The checked export steps, and a CSV template, are on How to export from your old app.
Before you start
- Export one child at a time, and keep the original file.
- Times in these files have no time zone. Import them in the place where you logged.
- Importing the same file again skips rows that are already there.
- After the import, pick one day for everyone to start logging in BabyCroc so the new days stay in one place.
Huckleberry
- Open Huckleberry and tap your child’s profile icon.
- Tap Export tracking data as CSV, then Got it. Email it.
- Save the CSV from the email. The link lasts about a day. You can ask again.
The file has one row per entry and eight columns: Type, Start, End, Duration, Start Condition, Start Location, End Condition, and Notes. Sleep, breastfeeds (with the minutes on each side), bottles, diapers, pumping, medicine, growth, solids, and tummy time can come across. Sleep plans from Huckleberry Premium are not in the file.
Nara Baby
- Open the Activity screen.
- Tap the avatar next to your child’s name, then Export Data.
- Save the CSV. Nara makes one file per child. A messaging app sometimes turns it into a spreadsheet. Send the original CSV if you can.
Sleep, bottles, breastfeeds, combo feeds (breast plus formula), diapers, growth, and pumping are the rows BabyCroc reads. A Profile row is your child’s name and birth date, not an activity.
Sprout
- Open Sprout’s Settings.
- Tap Export Data and email yourself the CSV files.
- A doctor report or a Memories PDF is a nice keepsake. Import needs the CSV.
BabyCroc looks for a category, a start time, and the amount or note on each row. Check the preview. Rows it cannot place are listed, not guessed.
Baby Tracker by Nighp
- Open Settings and tap Export Data to CSV. Nighp’s FAQ lists this with the paid features.
- You get a zip, often named csv.zip. In the Files app, tap it once so it opens into spreadsheets.
- Import the sleep, nursing, bottle, diaper, pump, and growth files. BabyCroc reads one spreadsheet at a time.
A backup or a Data Clone file (snapshot.btcp) is for restoring Baby Tracker on a phone. It is not a spreadsheet. BabyCroc will say so, and it will not replace your log with it.
Baby Connect
- In Baby Connect, export your data and choose CSV, not the HTML report.
- The file arrives by email. Save it, then import it in BabyCroc.
Sleep, bottles, breastfeeds that name a side, diapers, solids, and growth are the rows to expect. If a column is one BabyCroc does not have, the preview counts it as skipped.
In BabyCroc
- Finish adding your baby if you have not yet.
- Settings → Import data → Choose CSV file.
- Read the preview: which app it looks like, how many entries, the dates, and anything skipped.
- Choose which child the file belongs to.
- Tap Import. Duplicates stay skipped.
