BabyCroc

How to export from your old app

BabyCroc reads a CSV on your phone and shows a preview before anything is saved. Export one child at a time. Save the file the app gives you. Don’t open it in Excel or Numbers first. Those apps rewrite the times, and the import then can’t tell when a feed or a nap started.

Download the BabyCroc CSV template. It has a profile row, a nap, a bottle, and a diaper. Times look like 2024-06-01 13:00:00.

Huckleberry

From Huckleberry’s export article:

  1. Tap the child profile icon in the menu bar.
  2. Scroll down and tap Export tracking data as CSV.
  3. Tap Got it! Email it. The email has a download link that lasts 24 hours. You can ask again after it expires.

Export each child separately. The file includes the sleep, feeding, and diaper logs for that child.

Nara Baby

From Nara’s FAQ:

  1. Open the main Activity screen.
  2. Tap the avatar next to the child’s name.
  3. Tap Export Data. Nara saves a CSV for that child.

Repeat for each child. Nara says you can still export when the app is read-only.

Sprout

From Sprout’s export article:

  1. Open the app’s Settings.
  2. Tap Export Data. Sprout emails the Tools and Medical data as CSV files.

A doctor report (Medical, then Create Doctor Report, then Full Data Report) is for a visit. Import needs the CSV from Settings, not that report or a Memories PDF.

Baby Tracker by Nighp

Nighp’s FAQ lists CSV exporting as a full-version feature. It does not publish the menu for that CSV. Check the app’s Settings for an Export or Backup option.

The same FAQ does document a backup: Settings, then Export Data Clone. That file is named snapshot.btcp. It restores Baby Tracker. It is not a spreadsheet, and BabyCroc will not import it.

Baby Tracker by Amila

Amila doesn’t publish a help page with the export steps. Check the app’s Settings for an Export or Backup option, and send BabyCroc the CSV if one is offered.

Glow Baby

Glow’s help says to emailsupport@glowing.com and ask for a CSV of your data. Glow sends the file. Check the app’s Settings for an Export or Backup option as well, in case a newer version has one. Glow’s pregnancy PDF is a different export, and it is not the baby log.

Baby Connect

Baby Connect’s reports page says you can customize and export CSV or HTML files by email. Choose the CSV, not the HTML report. The page doesn’t list the taps, so check the app’s Settings for an Export or Backup option.

In BabyCroc

  1. Settings, then Import data, then Choose CSV file. During setup, the same choice is on the import step.
  2. Read the preview. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
  3. If the file can’t be read, the screen says what it found. You can send that file to BabyCroc from the same screen.
